The Rotary's All Person's Playground was dedicated May 18, 2002 to Hanna and Friends. The playground was built so children of all ages and abilities will have the chance to play along side one another and to learn that people are all much more alike than they are different. After all... "Citizenship begins on the playground".

The project began as idea of Brandon '86 Rotary Club leaders in 1998. A site was selected in September 1999. The dense vegetation was cleared by Rotary members and community volunteers.

The playground was built from the fund raising efforts of the Brandon '86 Rotary Club, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program and Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation.

Over $450,000 was raised to build, maintain and improve this playground.

$112,500 in financial assistance was provided by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection through the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program under the leadership of Ed Radice, Joel Jackson and Senator Tom Lee.

$30,000+ was raised by the Brandon '86 Rotary Club under the leadership of Eric Almquist, John E. Sullivan, Bob Devolld and Dick Beckley.

$25,000 given by Brandon Regional Hospital under the leadership of Mike Fencel.

$17,000+ given by Brandon Rotary Club under the leadership of B. Lee Elam and Jim Thompson.

$10,000+ raised by Scott Kenny, Brandon Honorary Mayor Candidate.

Brandon '86 Rotary Club Brick Sales under the leadership of Cindy Manchesi, Ed Johns and Bob Devolld.
